Service 04 · Advertising with athletes and clips

Ad campaigns with athletes & clips.

An athlete as the face of your campaign – or an existing MTB, BMX or snowboard clip for your advertising. I find the person, the footage and the rights holders.

  6. Support until launchIncluding the athlete's social posts, if agreed.

One clip.
Many rights holders.

The athlete

Name and image may only be used in advertising with consent.

The filmer

Whoever filmed it usually holds the rights to the footage – not automatically the rider.

The music

The song from the original edit is almost never licensed for advertising.

Logos in the shot

Helmet, bike, clothing: sponsor logos can clash with your brand.

Existing contracts

Does the athlete have category exclusivity with a competitor? Check first.

Scope of use

Channels, countries and term determine the price – and belong in the contract.

FAQ

Questions about campaigns.

Can we simply use a clip from YouTube?

No. For advertising you need a licence from the rights holders. I find out who they are and negotiate the usage for you.

What does licensing a clip cost?

It depends on profile, channels, countries and term. After the briefing I'll give you a realistic range.

What if the athlete has other sponsors?

That's normal. What matters is whether there's exclusivity in your category and which logos may appear – I clarify that upfront.
